Lunar New Year Eve and Day, every 29 Dec and 1 Jan (lunar) / 16 and 17 Feb 2026 (Gregorian). There is a belief that the first person to plant an incense stick into the urn will received good luck,
there are also 3 important dates in lunar calendar where the temple will be super crowded and long queues are formed.
Kuan Yin's Birth Day: every 19 Feb (lunar) / 6 Apr 2026 (Gregorian)
Enlightenment Day : every 19 June (lunar) / 1 Aug 2026 (Gregorian)
Renunciation Day : every 19 Sept (lunar) / 28 Oct 2026 (Gregorian)
Another special occasion is the Treasury Day, where this is an tradition practice that the temple will distribute Hong bao (red packets) blessed by Kuan Yin for the poor. The needy will "borrow" the blessed red packet with a coin and will be blessed with good fortune for the whole year. At the end of the year, the borrower have to "repay the loan", at individual's own preference, e.g. a bigger Hong bao or more offerings to Kuan Yin.

A temple assistant will stamp (red blessed stamp) on the back of the your shirt (or bring along additional clothes) for good luck and protection.
